Fanfare Fantasy for Brass Band by Stephen C Barnwell.
 
Fanfare Fantasy is classic concert opener comprising a lively, bright and uplifting fanfare that is stated triumphantly either side of a ballad which is a calm reflection of that majesty. The music begins with a rousing introduction, increasing steadily in intensity, rising layer upon layer, until it erupts into a sparkling fanfare featuring the Cornet and Trombone sections with soaring Tenor Horns. Echoes of that fanfare are then passed between the different sections of the band as the music gradually calms and transitions into the warmth of a ballad. The melody, stated initially on the Flugel Horn, is punctuated and held aloft by regal echoes of the fanfare. These continue until they can remain in the background no longer and interrupt the tranquility to bring the music back to a majestic and powerful end.
